Three men who have been charged with aggravated burglary at the home of Tom Niland in Skreen in Co Sligo on 18 January, have been further remanded in custody at Sligo District Court.
The three men who were brought before a special sitting of Sligo District Court last Thursday night, appeared again at Sligo court today.
No applications for bail were made on behalf of the men and all were remanded in custody by Judge Sandra Murphy.
John Clarke, 33, of Carrowkelly, Ballina, Co Mayo and 54-year-old Francis Harmon of Nephin Court, Killala Road, Ballina, Co Mayo were remanded to appear in court via video link on 24 March.
Solicitor Edward Bradbury indicated to the court that an application for bail for his client John Irving, will be made at his next court appearance.
Judge Murphy remanded 28-year-old Mr Irving of Shanwar, Foxford in Mayo to appear in court in person on 24 March.
Mr Niland remains in a critical condition in hospital.
