Gardaí are investigating an armed robbery at a post office in Stradone, Co Cavan.
Shortly after 10am this morning two men, armed with what is believed to be handguns, entered the post office and took a sum of cash.
No one was injured.
A vehicle believed to have been involved was found burned out nearby a short time later, at Lisnageer, Cootehill, Co Cavan.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
