Six people have been arrested as part of an investigation into online fraud connected to a money laundering network.
Gardaí say that on Tuesday officers attached to the Kilkenny Detective Unit searched a number of properties in Donegal, Longford and Louth.
During the course of the operation they seized £174,000 sterling, €7,000, a motor vehicle and a number of items of evidential value.
Two men aged in their 30s and 60s were arrested and are being held under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007 at a garda station in Co Kilkenny.
On Wednesday, the National Crime Agency arrested three men, two aged in their 40s, and one in his 60s, along with one woman aged in her 30s, in Cookstown, Co Tyrone in connection with the same investigation.
