Independent presidential candidate Peter Casey has officially launched his campaign in Dublin.
He said his key objective if elected to Áras an Uachtaráin would be to galvanise the Irish diaspora for the good of the nation.
Mr Casey also said he believed the other candidates and media were too deferential to the incumbent Michael D Higgins.
