Lie of the land....

This remains a five-seat constituency with some boundary changes.

A diverse area which includes the wealthier suburbs of Howth, Sutton, Clontarf and Raheny, alongside traditional working class areas such as Coolock, Darndale, Donaghmede and Artane and newer communities such as Clongriffin and Belmayne.

Some 18,219 votes, mainly from around Kilmore and Beamount, and to a lesser degree Balgriffin, have been transferred to Dublin North-West and Dublin Fingal respectively.

The constituency has an older age profile, and the issues of transport and affordable housing for different generations is to the fore.
