The Lie of the Land

The addition of two large urban areas to the north and southwest radically changes the make up of this constituency, which increases from four to five seats.

The constituency gains Ballincollig, which has a population of 20,000 people, from Cork North-West, and takes a large portion of Mallow, around 14,000 people, from Cork East.

It also loses parts of Bishopstown to Cork South-Central and loses Dripsey and surrounding areas to Cork North-West.
