More people earning more in commercial sector than RTÉ - Kelly

Noel Kelly tells the committee there are more people being paid more money in the commercial sector than in RTÉ.

He claimed that RTÉ's hybrid funding model "muddies the water" for independent radio.

Ryan Tubridy told Sinn Féin Senator Fintan Warfield that he was advised to be an independent contractor.

"My skillset does not belong in the world of finance and negotiation", he said, and so he gets advice from Mr Kelly on this.

Being a contractor allows him to do other work.
