Mass in Creeslough hears of terrible grief within community

Pain was etched on the faces of the many people young and old going into 10am mass in Creeslough this morning.

There was a full congregation for the mass offered by Parish Priest Fr John Joe Duffy for all those affected by the terrible tragedy, which he said has broken the heart of this community.

Fr Duffy said there is a terrible grief and sadness beyond words in people's hearts this morning.

"Our community has been a great source of support and strength to those directly impacted by the terrible tragedy," he said.

Fr Duffy said they prayed for those in hospital and those undergoing procedures this morning.

He said it is with the support of the community that the community will chart its way through a tsunami of grief that is hitting them now.
