    Tourism, arts sectors among those getting a boost

    Minister McGrath said he is providing temporary funding of €90 million for the tourism, culture, arts, Gaeltacht, sports and media sectors to help consolidate their recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.

    €15 million will go towards Fáilte Ireland initiatives, while an overall allocation of €130 million will go towards maintaining the Arts Council's level of funding in 2023.

    €1.25 million will be used to support Irish as a living language in the Gaeltacht communities, and €4 million will be earmarked for high performance athletes to prepare for the Olympics and Paralympics in 2024.
