All eleven seats of the Labour panel have now been filled in the Seanad elections.
The last three to be elected were Fianna Fáil's Pat Casey, Sinn Féin's Maria McCormack, and a first seat for the Labour Party with Nessa Cosgrove getting over the line.
Also elected were: Chris Andrews, the former Sinn Féin TD who lost his seat in Dublin Bay South last year; Independent Gerard Craughwell; Fianna Fáil's Robbie Gallagher; Fianna Fáil's Margaret Murphy O'Mahony - the former Cork South-West TD; and Patricia Stephenson of the Social Democrats.
The election of Ms Stephenson to the Seanad has been described by Social Democrats deputy leader Cian O'Callaghan as a landmark day for the party.
Deputy O'Callaghan said: "For the first time, the party will now have representation in the Seanad, and we remain hopeful of a double victory if Councillor Joan Hopkins, our nominee on the Industrial and Commercial Panel, is successful in taking a second seat this weekend."
Two more candidates, Aidan Davitt and Mary Fitzpatrick from Fianna Fáil, were elected on the Industrial and Commercial Panel.
The candidate elected earlier was poll topper and Independent Senator Sharon Keogan.
There are six seats remaining to be filled, with nine candidates still in contention.
Once the count is concluded, only the Administrative Panel will remain.
So far, exclusions include former Fine Gael TD Alan Farrell. former Fianna Fáil Senator Gerry Horkan, former Independent TD for Waterford Matt Shanahan, former Fine Gael Senator Mary Seery Kearney, former Fianna Fáil Councillor Kate Feeney and Fianna Fáil mayoral candidate for Limerick Dee Ryan.
Sinn Féin's Conor Murphy, currently Minister for the Economy in the Northern Ireland Executive, will be elected to the Seanad shortly while Independent Senator Frances Black is also in a strong position to be returned.
Yesterday, Aontú secured its first Seanad seat with the election of Sarah O'Reilly.
Three Fine Gael candidates have been elected to the Seanad on the Labour Panel: Mike Kennelly, Mark Duffy and Joe O'Reilly.
Other vocational panels to be counted this weekend include the Administrative Panel.
Yesterday, the 11 seats of the Agricultural Panel were filled.
Those deemed to be elected on the Agricultural Panel were: Malcolm Noonan (Green); Joanne Collins (Sinn Féin); Victor Boyhan (Independent); Paul Daly (Fianna Fáil); Niall Blaney (Fianna Fáil); Teresa Costello (Fianna Fáil); Eileen Lynch (Fine Gael); Sarah O'Reilly (Aontú); Paraic Brady (Fine Gael); Maria Byrne (Fine Gael) and PJ Murphy (Fine Gael).

The five seats on the Cultural and Educational panel have also been filled.
Sinn Féin's Pauline Tully topped the poll and was followed by Fine Gael's Cathal Byrne, Fine Gael's Sean Kyne, Fianna Fáil's Shane Curley and Independent Joe Conway - who just edged out Fianna Fáil senator Lorraine Clifford Lee.
Counts in both the Dublin University/Trinity College constituency and the National University of Ireland constituency have concluded.
NUI's three seats have been taken by incumbent Independents Michael McDowell, Rónán Mullen and Alice Mary Higgins.
Incumbent Independents Lynn Ruane and Tom Clonan took two of the seats in the Dublin University/Trinity College constituency while Independent Aubrey McCarthy took the third.
In all, 49 Seanad seats are voted on across the constituencies and panels.
Another 11 seats will be filled by Taoiseach nominations once all other seats are filled.
