Sinn Féin has insisted it investigated claims of bullying made by a party member who previously worked for a Sinn Féin Oireachtas member elected in 2020.
The person involved wrote last month to party chairman Declan Kearney saying their complaints, which date from 2022, were not investigated.
The person making the complaint said that no evidence was requested and they were never interviewed as part of any investigation.
They said that they had to leave a job that they loved because they had been disparaged by Sinn Féin staff.
They claimed too that they had been publicly denounced as a liar and no longer felt safe in the role.
The bullying allegations are not aimed at the Oireachtas member for whom the complainant worked.
Sinn Féin said the complainant has been told that the matter was a human resources issue and no further action is planned.
A Sinn Féin spokesperson said the complaint was comprehensively investigated.
They also said that the person's former job was in a different constituency to the one which was the focus of their original complaint and the two things are unrelated.
These allegations are not linked to any of the controversies which engulfed the party in recent weeks.
