Polls suggest Sinn Féin most popular party among voters

Sinn Féin remains the most popular party among voters, the latest Business Post RED C opinion poll suggests.

The party is up two points to 31% support.

Support for Fine Gael is down one percentage point to 21%, with Fianna Fáil unchanged on 16%.

The Green Party is also static on 4%, as are the Social Democrats on 5% and Solidarity-PBP on 3%.

Independents drop one point to 12%, while Labour is also down one to 4%.

Aontú is up one point to 3% compared to last month's poll.

The survey of 1,011 voters was taken over six days up to last Tuesday.

The margin of error is plus or minus 3%.

Separately, the latest Sunday Times Behaviour & Attitudes opinion poll also suggests Sinn Féin is the most popular party.

The poll suggests its support stands at 33%.

This is down one point on the last comparable poll two months ago.

In this poll, Fianna Fáil is on 21%, down three percentage points, while Fine Gael is up one to 20%.

Support for the Green Party rose by two points to stand on 6%.

Labour is unchanged on 4% with the Social Democrats' support climbing one point to 3%.

Solidarity-PBP is on 2% and Aontú is at 1% support in this poll conducted over 13 days up last Tuesday.

Independents and Others are down one point to 9%.

This poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.3%.
