Opinion poll suggests increase in support for Sinn Féin

Sinn Féin has increased its support, a new opinion poll suggests, jumping two points to 31%.

The Ireland Thinks poll, for the Sunday Independent, found that Fine Gael saw a one point increase in support to 22%.

However, Fianna Fáil is said to have experienced a 3-point drop in support and now stands at 16%.

While the poll concluded Social Democrats Holly Cairns is the most popular party leader in the country, her party is down 2 points and now stand at 7%.

Green Party support is unchanged at 4%.

Both the Labour Party and Aontú are unchanged at 3%.

People Before Profit / Solidarity is also at 3% - up one.

Independents and others are unchanged at 10%.

Ireland Thinks interviewed 1,102 between Friday and Saturday of this week as the eviction ban came to an end.

The margin of error is +/- 3%.
