Poll suggests rise in support for Sinn Féin and Fianna Fáil

There has been an increase in support for Sinn Féin and Fianna Fáil, the latest Irish Times/Ipsos MRBI poll suggests.

The survey of 1,200 potential voters across the country on Monday and Tuesday this week indicates that Sinn Féin is up three points to 31% on the last comparable poll in February.

This is the party's highest level of support in this series of polls.

Fianna Fáil is on 20%, which is a rise of six points, while Fine Gael is down three points on 27%.

The Green Party is unchanged on 6%, while Labour's support is also static on 3%.

Independents on 8% drop five points in this poll, which has a margin of error of plus or minus 3%.

The Social Democrats are down one point on 2%, while Solidarity-PBP on 2% are up one point.

Aontú are unchanged on 1%.
