After weeks of tortuous negotiations, the Government announced a plan for the Leaving Cert. Students will be offered the choice of a written exam or calculated grades. 

But it is going to be some weeks before the schools fully reopen, as the Government remains cautious about taking any actions that could indicate the country is about to reopen. 

At the same time, the economic damage from the lockdown continues, as the Government is taking steps to ensure Aer Lingus maintains transport connections to Ireland.
