Sinn Féin is calling for the restoration of Jobseeker's Allowance for young people to ensure all recipients receive the same rate regardless of age.
People under 25 receive a weekly payment of €112.70 compared to €157.80 for those ages 25 and €203 a week for those aged 26 and older.
The reduction is a result of a decision made in Budget 2014.
Sinn Féin believes the decision forced many young people to emigrate.
The party's spokesperson on Social Protection, John Brady, said it amounts to discrimination.
