It is called the constituency of death.
While that may be an overstatement some of the biggest names in politics are battling for four seats in the European Parliament to represent Dublin.
The podcast, hosted by Aine Lawlor, asks who were the winners and losers in the debate on the Dublin constituency?
The debate featured ten candidates: Barry Andrews (FF), Lynn Boylan (SF), Ciarán Cuffe (Greens), Clare Daly TD (Ind), Frances Fitzgerald (FG), Gary Gannon (Soc Dems), Rita Harrold (Sol PBP), Alice-Mary Higgins (Ind) Éilis Ryan (WP) and Alex White (Lab).
The debate was on the Clare Bryne Live Election programme on RTÉ One.
In studio following the debate Aine was joined by a panel of analysts for the podcast: Niamh Lyons from The Times, Mary Regan from RTÉ’s political staff, Bernard Harbour who worked on Michael D Higgins’ presidential campaign and former political advisor Paul O’Brien.
