The Green Party is fielding four candidates in the forthcoming European Elections, north and south.
At the launch of their European election manifesto in Dublin today, the party described the forthcoming poll as a climate change election and said a Green voice was needed.
The party's chairperson Roderick O'Gorman said a Green wave was building across Europe, and called on voters to send a message that inaction on climate change is unacceptable.
"There's a Green wave building at the moment. It's washed over Europe and the UK and we believe on May 24th it will wash over Ireland," he said.
He also said voters were raising climate change on the doorsteps.
The Green Party is also fielding 82 local election candidates.
