Sinn Féin TD Eoin Ó Broin has attacked his party colleague Peadar Tóibín for his suggestion that the Oireachtas Committee examining the Eighth Amendment was biased.
Speaking on RTÉ's The Week in Politics programme, Mr Tóibín criticised the balance of both members and witnesses giving testimony and he said he was disappointed.
He said there was 24 pro-choice witnesses and only four pro-life witnesses giving testimony.
In a tweet, Mr Ó Broin said Mr Tóibín's views did not represent Sinn Féin's view of the Committee.

He also said he was "very disappointed" that Mr Tóibín had aligned himself with Mattie McGrath and Rónán Mullen in trying to "undermine" the work of the Committee and the three Sinn Féin representatives on it.
Meath West TD Mr Tóibín is against abortion and he lost the party whip for six months in 2014 after voting against the Protection of Life During Pregnancy Bill.
Another Sinn Féin TD also criticised Mr Tóibín. In a tweet, Jonathan O'Brien - who is one of Sinn Féin's representatives on the Committee - said the imbalance on the Committee had been caused by pro-life groups refusing to appear.
And he added: "Don't cry over spilt milk when you intentionally split (sic) it yourself just so you can cry."
The abortion issue will be discussed at the party's Ard Fheis next weekend when it is expected members will agree to support allowing abortions in cases of fatal foetal abnormalities, rape, incest and where the mother's health is at risk.
It will not however allow a free vote on the issue in contrast with Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael.
