Support for Fianna Fáil has risen to its highest level in almost a year, in the Sunday Business Post Red C series of opinion polls.
The survey of voters, carried out between Monday and Friday, shows Fine Gael unchanged on 24%.
As TDs get ready to return to the Dáil on Tuesday after a two-week break, Fianna Fáil is up two points to 28% while Sinn Féin is up one point to 18%.
Independents dropped three points to stand at 10%. The Independent Alliance is down one point and its support now stands at just 2%.
In the aftermath of its party conference last week, Labour is unchanged on 6%. Solidarity-PBP are unchanged too on 4%.
The Social Democrats are on 4%, the Green Party is on 3% and Renua is at 1% support.
The margin of error in this opinion poll is plus or minus 3%.
