Re-tail therapy: Dogs found engaging in 'light shoplifting'

A rural shop in England has shared CCTV footage showing a pair of Labradors engaging in a spot of "light shoplifting".

Griffiths Garage in Leintwardine had earlier posted an appeal to its fans on social media, asking on Tuesday: "Has anyone lost two black labradors? If so we have them at Griffiths Garage.

"This is the best thing to happen at the citadel of rural retail since a piglet escaped from the butchers and took refuge up Mill Lane, so no rush," they added.

Later that morning, the shop posted an update along with this video, saying: "Have you ever seen two labradors doing a spot of light shoplifting? Today is the day!

"The lovable duo who broke out this morning have been suitably rehabilitated and returned safely home now. Thanks for your help everyone."

The pair of dogs can be seen sniffing around the shelves, before bounding down the aisle, tails wagging, with a loaf of bread.

The clip was viewed tens of thousands of times on Facebook, with one commenter posting: "Not trained well, owner asked for a bottle of red!"
