Travis Gienger won the 50th World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-Off in Half Moon Bay in California this week.
Gienger, who drove his winning pumpkin out from his farm in Anoka, Minnesota, delivered a gourd that was more than 7.5 feet wide and barely fit on the event's scale.
Using forklifts and special harnesses, the hefty gourd was carefully placed on a 5-ton capacity, industrial-strength digital scale.
Gienger broke the world record for largest pumpkin, with his gigantic gourd tipping the scales at a whopping weight of 2,749 pounds (1,247 kilograms).
The previous world record for the largest pumpkin was 2,702 pounds (1,226 kilograms) and was set in Italy in 2021.
Gienger previously held the North American record in the 2022 competition with a gourd weighing 2,560 pounds (1,161 kilograms).
As a reward for his victorious win, event organisers say Gienger will receive $9 (€8.49) for each pound of his winning pumpkin, totaling $24,741 (€23,337.07).
He'll also receive an additional $30,000 (€28297.65) bonus for breaking the world record.
