It is estimated to fetch between $16 to $18.5 million (€13.5-15.5million) and "certainly could become the most expensive selling Porsche ever", Sotheby's Chief Marketing Officer Ian Kelleher said.
Also up for action is a 1959 'Ferrari 410 Superamerica,' whose estimate is $6- 8milion (€5-6.7million).
Le Mans is a 1971 film depicting a fictional 24 Hours of Le Mans auto race starring Steve McQueen and directed by Lee H. Katzin. It features actual footage captured during the 1970 race held the previous June.
