The first transparent ‘Sky Pool’, which connects two luxury apartment blocks high above the city, is due to open in Nine Elms, South London, next month.

The 25-metre pool is the ultimate status symbol, stretching between the tenth floors of two residential buildings allowing swimmers a view of the city’s skyline.

It will be open exclusively to residents of the Embassy Gardens development, located in a regeneration zone.

The showpiece of Irish developer Balymore’s apartment complex was designed by architects Arup Associates, which also built the Sydney Opera House.
