Yarn bombers braved the wind and rain overnight to spread some Valentine's Day love in Dublin.

They brought a sparkling display of crocheted hearts to railings in Ballyboden.

Among the designs, one heart honours frontline workers, while another pays tribute to Late Late Toy Show star Adam King and his "virtual hug".

The yarn bombers, connected to the Ballyboden Tidy Towns group, said they hoped the display "brings a little cheer and love at this time".
