Scaling new heights: Utah officials delighted to see animal bridge in use

Wildlife officials in Utah have shared a video showing a wide range of animals using a specially built bridge in Parley's Canyon, designed to reduce accidents involving wildlife on a busy highway.

Posting on their Facebook page, the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources said: "As you can see, the second year of this overpass has been successful at helping wildlife safely migrate over busy Interstate 80 and helping motorists be much safer as well."

The overpass, which was built in 2018, is covered in rocks, boulders and logs to mimic the natural terrain.

It offers a safer option for animals than crossing six lanes of traffic.
