A company in the southwestern Chinese city of Chongqing has built two sterilising systems to spray workers at an industrial complex with disinfectant before they start work, according to the China News Service.

The tunnel is equipped with infrared detectors that activate a spray from misters when a person enters, taking 10-20 seconds to spray the person, the report said.

A manager of the company said the mist is produced with medical disinfectant, with a motor pumping out the liquid when needed.

He said the two disinfectant facilities can meet at least the need of 1,000 people.
