If you're considering deep-frying a turkey at any point, you should heed this warning from the Phoenix Fire Department.

To highlight the dangers of improperly deep-frying a Thanksgiving turkey, the fire department released a video showing what can go wrong.

Two fire-fighters place a frozen turkey in a vat of boiling oil - the result? A massive fireball.

"Phoenix firefighters demonstrating how NOT to fry a turkey this holiday season," the department wrote next to the video.

Their top tips: fully thaw the turkey before deep-frying, use the correct amount of oil, and never deep-fry indoors.
