A mysterious white foam appeared overnight on the River Irwell, in Salford, England.
The UK's Environment Agency has said it has been notified and is investigating.

Various photographs and videos have been posted on social media, showing the waterway being covered in white foam.
It’s not clear what caused the foam or where it came from.
