Giancarlo Isacchi was competing in the Dublin Marathon when he took ill.
Luckily, Garda Niamh Connaughton was on hand, and was able to use her CPR skills to provide urgent medical assistance.
He is now doing well in hospital, and welcomed a visit from the hero who helped him.
