US woman Darla Jaye was so excited to complete her radiotherapy for breast cancer this week, that she jumped at the chance to ring the 'Cancer-Free Bell'.
And her vigorous enthusiasm saw her accidentally break the bell at the Harris Health System centre in Houston, Texas.
In a later interview, she joked: "I didn't think I had any strength left in me, but obviously I do."
In a post on social media, she wrote: "Today is my first cancer-free day." She called it "the best day" since she was diagnosed with cancer in February.
