Defunct Polish cooling tower demolished with 200kg of explosives

A 90-metre-high cooling tower was demolished at Łagisza power plant in Poland earlier this week.

Built in the 1960s, the tower no longer met current emission standards.

Over 200kg of explosives were used in the demolition.
