Police bodycam footage has captured a dramatic rescue in the US state of Iowa, where police officers responding to a fire caught children dropped from a second-floor window at an apartment in Des Moines.

The children’s mother, who was eventually rescued with a ladder, gathered the children at the window of their apartment before dropping them to police officers waiting below, according to the Des Moines Police department.
Police praised the officers involved in the rescue: Cole Johnson, Craig Vasquez, Tyler Kelley, and Casey Sanders.
Nobody was hurt in the fire. An investigation into the cause is ongoing.
