A supporter of US President Donald Trump was removed by security from a Texas rally after jumping into the media pen, shoving reporters and knocking over several cameras filming the event.

Mr Trump was in El Paso, speaking to a crowd of around 7,000, to make a case for building a wall along the border with Mexico.

According to a BBC reporter covering the rally, the attack happened after President Trump had launched heavy criticism towards the news media.

The BBC reporter said her cameraman was shoved and his camera knocked over by the man who can be seen wearing a cap with the president's "Make America Great Again" slogan.

According to the reporter who filmed this video, several other cameras were also knocked over and the man also verbally abused reporters.

There were no reports of injuries following the attack and the BBC reporter tweeted that her cameraman was fine.
