A police officer had a lucky escape when an out-of-control SUV slid towards him on a road in the US state of Wisconsin.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office released dashcam footage showing the moment an officer walking towards his patrol car turned around just in time to leap out of the way of the oncoming vehicle.
The office said Deputy Jason Fabry had been "assisting a motorist who slid into the ditch just off camera to the right".
As he returned to his patrol car an SUV driving along the icy road towards him slipped out of control.
"Thankfully, no one was struck or injured, but this video serves as a great example of people driving too fast for conditions and putting the life of a deputy at great risk," the Sheriff’s Office added as it released the footage.
