He is the youngest person to hold the office of Taoiseach and today Leo Varadkar turned 40.
At this morning's Salesforce jobs announcement, there were some attempts to acknowledge it as the assembled crowd broke into a rendition of 'Happy Birthday'.
The Taoiseach quipped that he had asked the Attorney General to come up with legislation to change it.
His spokesperson said Mr Varadkar will be marking his 40th at a gathering of family and friends this weekend.
It will be a private affair with former Trinity College classmates invited as well as politicians - not just from Fine Gael.
This afternoon RTÉ News returned to Leo Street in Dublin 7, where Mr Varadkar launched his Fine Gael leadership bid back in May 2017, to ask the public what they thought of Leo Varadkar at 40:
