Footage of a helicopter pilot balancing the nose of his aircraft skillfully on a slope in a rescue on the French Alps has made waves across social media.
A group of skiers ran into trouble near the Col d'Anterne pass in Chamonix on 2 January when one of them was injured, forcing them to call the gendarmerie’s rescue services.
The video shows the pilot balancing the helicopter with the blades still turning to allow a rescuer to climb out.
