NASA cameras recently caught an unusual rectangular iceberg floating off the Larsen C ice shelf in Antarctica.
According to scientists, the iceberg's sharp angles and flat surface are an indication that it had probably recently broken off the ice shelf.

The image was captured on NASA's IceBridge flight, an airborne survey of the Earth's polar ice yielding three-dimensional detailed views of ice sheets, ice shelves and sea ice in both the Arctic and Antarctic.
The photo of the rectangular iceberg was widely shared after it was posted on social media.
In a new Operation IceBridge NASA video, shared this week, mission scientist John Sonntag provides commentary on the footage from an flight on 16 October over the tabular iceberg.
Other icebergs and the massive A68 berg can been seen too.
Flights are conducted over Greenland from March to May and over Antarctica from October to November.
