Taking to the skies above Birr – the Irish Hot Air Ballooning Championships are under way in Co Offaly.
Birr Castle Gardens is the main launch site for the week-long event.
Organisers say that hot air ballooning is very dependent on the weather, so no flight is guaranteed.
However, they do try to fly twice a day - early morning and evening.
