A man in Birmingham, Alabama who walked more than 30km to his new job was moved to tears when his boss gave him his own new car on Monday.
Walter Carr was supposed to start a new job with a moving company on Friday morning, but his car broke down the night before.

Instead of phoning his boss to say he could not make it, he decided instead to walk most of the night so he would make his first day.
To show his appreciation, Walter's new boss handed him the keys to his own Ford Escape.
The Pelham Police Department tweeted that they were proud to have encountered Walter, saying "he certainly made an impact on us". They added a hashtag #belikeWalter.
