Ryan Sean Kelly started a project Scars Behind Beauty a year ago.
Once a week, he tattoos over a person's self-harm scars free of charge.
RTÉ News covered the start of the project, but since then, Ryan's story has been shared around the world with international news organisations covering his story.
Ryan gave up tattooing a few years ago due to his own anxiety disorder.
While he was on his break, his friend took his own life.
Ryan then decided to go back to tattooing to honour his friend.
In doing so he also wanted to try and help people battling their own mental health problems.
So he set up Scars Behind Beauty.
