A woman in her 20s has died after being struck by a car in Co Tipperary.
The incident occurred shortly after 7pm at Ballinlassa, on the R502 between Templemore and Templetouhy.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The coroner was notified and a post-mortem examination is due to be arranged.
The driver of the vehicle did not require immediate hospital treatment.
Gardaí are appealing to any witnesses, in particular any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, to contact Thurles Garda Station on 0504 25100, the garda confidential line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
