Members of the Defence Forces removed a suspicious package discovered at a premises in west Clare this evening.
Gardaí were alerted and a cordon was established.
The Defence Forces Explosive Ordnance Disposal team attended the scene.
The package was subsequently deemed safe and the cordon has since been lifted.
Gardaí said investigations were ongoing.
The Defence Forces said it would not comment due to operational security reasons.
