A 45-year-old man has appeared before Limerick District Court charged in connection with a major drug seizure in Bruree, Co Limerick and Charleville, Co Cork over the weekend.
Gardaí seized €310,600 of suspected illegal drugs during searches of premises on Friday evening.
Peter Vodros, with an address at The Lane, Main Street, Bruree, Limerick, was arrested in connection with the investigation.
Garda Cormac Ryan of Henry Street Garda Station gave evidence of formally charging Mr Vodros with two counts of possession of cannabis for the purpose of sale or supply at an apartment on Main Street, Bruree on 2 January last, contrary to the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Gda Ryan told the court that the accused made no reply to the charge when cautioned.
Solicitor Sarah Ryan was assigned to the defendant and proceedings were interpreted by a Slovak interpreter.
There was no objection to bail by the State.
Judge Patricia Harney granted bail subject to strict bail conditions, which include observing a nightly curfew, surrendering a travel ID card and signing on daily at Charleville Garda Station.
The court was told a file has been sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions for direction.
