A woman in her 70s is in a critical condition after the car she was driving was involved in a crash in Co Kerry last night.
The incident occurred at around 11.40pm on the N23 at Lisheenbaun, Castleisland.
The woman was taken to University Hospital Kerry.
The road has been closed for a technical examination and local diversions are in place.
There were no other vehicles involved.
