A man in his 20s has been arrested after €600,000 worth of cannabis was seized at Shannon Airport in Co Clare.

Revenue Customs officers found approximately 30kg of cannabis, with an estimated value of €600,000.

A man was arrested and is being detained at a garda station in the Clare-Tipperary division.

The drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
