A woman in her 70s has died following a collision in Co Limerick yesterday.
The collision involving two cars occured on the N21 at Templeglantine West, Co Limerick.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the incident, which occurred at around 11.50am.
The woman in her 70s, who was driving one of the cars, was taken to University Hospital Limerick where she was pronounced dead.
A female passenger of the second vehicle, a woman also in her 70s, was taken to University Hospital Kerry for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
Garda Forensic Collision Investigators will carry out an examination of the scene. The road is currently open.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was travelling in the area between 11am and noon yesterday to contact them.
Road users with camera footage (including dash-cam) from that section of the road during that time are asked to make it available to investigating officers.
