Motorcyclist, 20s, dies in Waterford road crash

A motorcyclist in his 20s has died in a road crash in Co Waterford.

The crash occurred on the R675 at Ballinahilla near Bunmahon, at around 11.45pm last night.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to University Hospital Waterford, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.

No other vehicles were involved.

Gardaí are appealing to witnesses, particularly those who were travelling in the area between 11pm and midnight, and who may have camera footage (including dash-cam), to contact Dungarvan Garda Station on 058 48600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
