A 19-year-old man has died following a two-vehicle crash in Co Cork this morning.
The collision, involving a car and a truck, happened on the N71 between Ballinhassig and Innishannon in west Cork at around 7.15am.
The man, who is understood to be from the west Cork area, was driving the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed to facilitate a garda technical examination, but has since reopened.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact them.
A spokesperson said: "Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 7am and 7.30am this morning are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí."
