A cyclist has died following a road traffic collision in Carrigtwohill, Co Cork.
The crash, involving the cyclist and a van, happened on the N25 eastbound at around 5pm.
The cyclist, a man aged in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been removed to Cork University Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
The driver of the van, a man also aged in his 60s, was treated at the scene.
Gardaí have said that the road where the crash happened has been closed for a technical examination which will take place tomorrow morning.
An appeal for witnesses has been issued and gardaí have asked that anyone who was travelling in the area between 4.30pm and 5pm and who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, are asked to make it available to them.
